AIT Course Objectives and Benefits

AIT aims to:

  1. Provide a safe space to learn about allyship, its importance, and how one can become an ally to others
  2. Promote lifelong learning about allyship through easy access to resources and discussions
  3. Create a network and support system of allies within the College of Arts and Sciences and beyond

The intrinsic and extrinsic benefits of one's commitment and accountability to allyship are innumerable but not always [immediately] apparent. When there is no finish line in what seems like a race to a more progressive world, it's easy (and okay) to get discouraged and complacent. Persistence is the key, despite setbacks. Our impact will be evident in how many people race alongside us in the same direction over time. Trust your place in this process, and don't give up!
