Our Mission

The Dance Ensemble's mission is to be representatives and ambassadors of NKU SOTA and to prepare students according to President Vaidya’s strategic plan for the University, which is based on the “three pillars of student success”-Access-Completion-Community Connections and Engagement. To achieve this, class rehearsals focus on five areas of concentration: technique, professionalism, collaboration, performance, and artistry. Dancers are expected to develop versatility, coach-ability and a positive attitude that cultivates a collaborative environment. Through outreach/recruitment performances, in-reach events, and dance movement workshops they demonstrate their craft, learn to communicate verbally about their training and experience at NKU while interacting with people in our communities.

Dance Ensemble has been busy building their repertoire of performance materials to share with local schools and civic organizations. We are excited to now offer performances and movement worships via zoom, or share two of our pre-recorded pieces.
