July 31, 2020 — Â鶹´«Ă˝ and the Anthony Muñoz Foundation continue partnering to provide scholarships to local students and increase access to higher education.
The Foundation honored the Class of 2020 Scholarship Fund recipients at its 19th hall of fame dinner on July 26. Building off last year’s success, NKU and the Foundation recognized six students with scholarships up to 20,000. Four of the six recipients are attending NKU this fall.
“Community partnerships like this are as critical as ever. We are opening the possibility of a four-year degree to students who may not have had NKU on their radar,” said NKU President Ashish Vaidya. “This is what makes our region a special place, ensuring that young people will be prepared for success, not only as a student, but in their lives beyond the university.”

Last summer, NKU created the Educational Diversity Scholarship to support the Anthony Muñoz Foundation’s mission of impacting the Tri-state’s youth. Muñoz’s passion to help students reach their dreams of attending a local college or university complements NKU’s singular focus on advancing student success aligned with the needs of the region.
“The Foundation believes that a student’s potential should not be limited by their circumstances. Within our Impact Programs, we work to remove as many barriers as possible in order for students to thrive,” said Muñoz. “Our partnership with NKU is a natural fit, and we are fortunate to have so many strong collaborators empower deserving students to achieve their goals.”
Through the Anthony Muñoz Foundation’s Straight “A” Scholarship, Youth Leadership Seminar and Scholarship Fund impact programs, the Foundation also awarded 18 additional scholarship. To learn more about the Foundation’s impact, visit its .
Â鶹´«Ă˝ the Anthony Muñoz Foundation: Established as a non-profit organization in April of 2002, the Anthony Muñoz Foundation’s mission is to engage the Tri-State region to impact youth mentally, physically, and spiritually. The Foundation reaches out to underprivileged youth to recognize, and reward those who excel in all phases of life. Through the Foundation’s seven Impact Programs, which include scholarship opportunities, character camps, a tutoring program and a leadership seminar, thousands of area youth are empowered. Â鶹´«Ă˝ NKU: Founded in 1968, we are a growing metropolitan university of more than 14,000 students served by more than 2,000 faculty and staff on a thriving suburban campus near Cincinnati. Located in the quiet suburb of Highland Heights, Kentucky—just seven miles southeast of Cincinnati—we have become a leader in Greater Cincinnati and Kentucky by providing a private school education for a fraction of the cost. While we are one of the fastest growing universities in Kentucky, our professors still know our students' names. For more information, visit .
