Tell us about your business/concept.
My test prep company is a 9 week online course that helps social workers prepare for the social work license exam. My company teaches you exactly what you need to know for the exam and is made up of power points, lectures, a workbook, and quizzes. My course is organized to help reduce anxiety when studying for the social work licensure exam.
What are the roots for the idea and why does the world need it?
I was frustrated with the test prep materials that were available when I was preparing to take my exam. I think my program is a solution for reducing anxiety. It is organized so you don’t have to think about what you need to study. I have course syllabus that guides you step by step.
What attracted you to the INKUBATOR? Why is it a good fit for you/your idea?
I was attracted to the INKUBATOR because I wanted to offer my program to more social workers. I had been tutoring students for the past two years individually and wanted to take my business to the next level.
How did the INKUBATOR help you bring your idea to life?
The INKUBATOR help me create my brand .Coming from a social work background I did not know much about business. They also helped me move my business forward and helped me develop an online platform.
What is the most important lesson you learned on your journey?
I think the most important thing I learned on my journey was building a business the right way is a lot of work. There were so many things that I learned about running a business while in the INKUBATOR. If you are not passionate about your idea I think that eventually you will quit but I am committed to helping my helping my colleagues pass our exam. I enjoy what I do that’s what keeps me going.
